Lostscar Assignment 3

Cloverstar had just finished her speech. Lostscar paced around in the medicine den. 'I'm not gonna take Leafpaw out to collect herbs this time. Rogues freak me out, and I've heard horror stories about cats killed by rogues.' The sound of her apprentice trotting into the den jolted her.
"Hey, Lostscar," Leafpaw said, "we gonna go collect herbs?" The tabby medicine cat shook her head.
"No, no, we've got plenty..." Lostscar lied. "Just lay down and fall asleep." Leafpaw nodded and lay in her nest, while Lostscar smiled and plopped in her own nest.

"Herbwhisker would've taken her out," Lostscar muttered under her breath. "But I'm not him."
